Washington’s National Cathedral holds a unique place at the intersection of sacred and civic life. Striking the right balance between its role as a place of worship and its role as a tourist attraction required deft strategic planning. Furthermore, engaging the Dean, Music Director, Choir Master, volunteers, and Board to work with the staff to generate revenues from tourists and public programs called for diplomacy and understanding.
