Glenn Curtiss Museum
For over 50 years, the Glenn Curtiss Museum quietly told the story of Glenn H. Curtiss, inventor extraordinaire, and his amazing machines. But, the museum aspired to be more: it wanted to be the best history museum in the Northeast United States and a key partner to the STEM programs of the regional schools.
To achieve these goals, the museum needed to enliven its narrative, strengthen its revenue sources, and become an interactive, immersive, 21st-century educational and entertaining destination for local residents and the visitors to the Finger Lakes region.
In close consultation with the museum’s leadership, Chora prepared strategic and business plans to do all this and more. Once the plans are fully implemented, the Curtiss Museum will stand out as the place that celebrates the region’s rich culture, traditions, and history ― a model institution not just for the Northeast but for the entire nation.

In their engagement with the Glenn Curtiss Museum, Chora was more like a colleague than a consultant. They worked with me every step of the way from master plan, to business plan, to fundraising materials. We were partners working as a team on every detail.
